Fun with Food WEEK FOUR (Pad Thai)

In week Four we created Pad Thai! We talked about rice noodles, what they are made out of and how to cook them or soak them until they are soft, and the variety of vegetables and protein sources that you can use in the Pad Thai dish. To start we made a sauce with toasted sesame oil, tamari, garlic and coconut oil. We used sweet bell peppers, spinach, tofu, green onions and a lime wedge for the very end. The noodles got tossed in the sauce and everyone put their own cut up veggies in their containers. I think the lime wedge at the very end was the hit!!
